The World Travel Awards ceremony
The night of September 29th was a memorable one for Olive Villa Rentals. Earlier in the season, our company was nominated for two of the 2023 World Travel Awards: Greece’s Leading Holiday Villa Rental Company and Greece’s Leading Luxury Private Villa.
The 2023 World Travel Awards Europe Gala Ceremony took place in Batumi, Georgia—the “rising star of world tourism,” in the words of Graham Cooke, founder of the WTA.

For Olive Villa Rentals, getting nominated for two WTAs was a significant distinction and an honor in its own regard. Still, winning against such esteemed competition would mean that our hard work and dedication to providing unique, luxurious hospitality experiences have been recognized and appreciated by luxury travelers and tourism professionals from all over the world.
As the night of the ceremony approached, our hearts were pounding faster by the minute! Therefore, you can only imagine our pride and joy when we finally heard the much-awaited, “And the winner is… Olive Villa Rentals!” Not once, but twice!
The majority of the voters, both industry members—whose vote is double—and members of the public, chose Olive Villa Rentals as Greece’s Leading Holiday Villa Rental Company and the magnificent Villa Primavera as Greece’s Leading Luxury Private Villa for 2023.

The prominent organization behind the esteemed World Travel Awards was established in 1993 with a mission to celebrate and reward excellence and quality across the global tourism industry, encompassing travel, hospitality, and other traveler-oriented services. Each year since its inception, the WTA has organized separate ceremonies on each continent, presenting awards at both the country and regional levels. Regional winners have one more chance to shine at the end of the year when they compete against each other in the Grand Final.
This year, the World Travel Awards organization is celebrating 30 marvelous years of highlighting global tourism’s most brilliant service providers. Hence, the 2023 WTA European Gala Ceremony was part of a spectacular three-day event honoring the organization’s 30th anniversary and decades-long contribution to the industry.
