A magnificent holiday villa with breathtaking views & infinity pool in Gavrion, Andros. Villa Melania is built on the hill, merely 5 minutes away from the port of Andros. It consists of 2 constructions, the main and the guest house, a small church and a big infinity swimming pool. It has fantastic views to the Aegean and can accommodate 6 adults or 2 families with 2 kids each.
Built in absolute harmony with its environment the house features elements of stone and wood (as well as of the characteristic “xerolithia”) and is divided between the main building and the guest house. A beautifully paved terrace connects those two buildings while offering exquisite views, it surely is the ideal spot for you to enjoy your breakfast or a glass of wine in the afternoon.
Layout
The Villa
The house’s magnificent and extremely spacious exterior, extends further to the pool area: The big swimming pool gives the impression of hanging from the cliff and if you decide to relax on its side and stare at the horizon you will feel as if you are swimming in the Aegean. The pool area also offers a great spot for relaxing and dining, equipped with an external shower, a wc, a built barbeque place and a bar area. From the pool you can always climb the few steps leading to the property’s small church.
Main house
The interior of the house decorated in eclectic style and to the utmost detail, radiates a homey, exciting feeling. From the colorful kitchen to the all-white, relaxing living room and the spacious bedrooms the house combines pieces of furniture designed by contemporary Greek artists with traditional details.
The main building consists of a bright open space kitchen, a comfy living room and a lovely dining area, along with a guest wc, a maid’s room and of course the floor’s master bedroom with en-suite bath and a king size bed. Adjoining to this room an office/ extra living room (which can also be transformed to an extra bedroom) offers magnificent sea views.
The staircase leads to the upper floor, occupied by the second bedroom (again with an en-suite bathroom) which has two single beds and a magnificent covered veranda with a stone couch and unlimited views of the sea.
Guest House
The guest house is also divided in two floors. The ground floor consists of an open space living room (with a sofa bed), a kitchenette and a bathroom while the top floor hosts the main bedroom with its queen sized bed and a spacious veranda. Behind the main building, an extra guest room (in a rock-cut style) offers two more single beds along with a small bathroom and the laundry area.
Surroundings
The villa is ideally situated in the northwest side of the island and it’s only a five minutes-drive from the port, offering majestic views of the latter as well as of the Aegean and the islands of Kea and Syros. This side of the island has magnificent beaches: Secluded and of unique beauty, Vitali and Zorgos are only a 20 minutes’ drive from the house. The more popular Golden Beach, Agios Petros and Fellos are also a 10 minutes’ drive. The heart of the island’s nightlife, the picturesque village of Batsi known for its cute bars and tasteful little tavernas, is just 25 minutes away.
