Access to a variety of popular or quiet beaches and exceptional landscapes is a matter of a few minutes drive. And if the sights and beaches of Athens are not enough, there are a number of islands which make easy day trips from Athens including nearby Aegina, and the magnificent islands of Hydra and Spetses a little further afield.
